PASZEK RESEARCH GROUP
GLYCOSCIENCE, ENGINEERING, & MEDICINE
ABOUT US
We are an interdisciplinary group of engineers, physicists, and biologists that apply principles from glycoscience, materials science, and synthetic biology to understand and rationally control cellular systems. The work of our group aims to lead an effort to define and develop the genetic tools, imaging approaches, and conceptual frameworks to propel early stages of biophysical inquiry in glycoscience. Our long-term mission is to establish biophysical glycoscience as a coherent and exciting sub-discipline of the biosciences and biomolecular engineering.
In parallel with our work in basic sciences, we also prioritize the translation of our conceptual understanding and research tools into new biotechnologies and therapeutics. We are particularly interested in the evolution of our biopolymer technology into solutions for improved human health.
